I am a Brazilian Qualified Dentist and have a background in dentistry in Brazil.
Since moving to New Zealand I have worked in management positions. I gain a lot of satisfaction from being able to use my clinical experience in my role as Practice Manager. Like most of Brazilians I like to play football in my free time, but also enjoy outdoor activities, going camping, tracking and tramping in the beautiful New Zealand outdoors as much as I can.

Originally I am from Christchurch (born & bred). I initially completed a Science Degree at Auckland University.
Following this I did two years as a Research Scientist with the National Heart Foundation and completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Pharmacology at Auckland Medical school. I graduated from Otago Dental School and spent my first year as a House Surgeon at the Auckland Hospital service and subsequently four years in Accident and Emergency Dentistry -so I know how to get people out of pain.
I have 19 years of General Dentistry experience and maintained my continuing education courses which have kept me up to date with the advances in Dentistry. These courses confirmed what was taught in Otago in that ideal dentistry is based on accurate exam and x-rays to determine proper treatment needs to minimise repetitive dentistry. To this end I see a lot of baby boomers with heavily restored wall to wall amalgams. I like to transform these teeth from black blobs to restorations that look like teeth.
Also I have a special interest in Endodontics (root fillings) and Crown and Bridgework.

Gordon graduated from the University of Pretoria in 2012 and immigrated to New Zealand in 2016.
He enjoys open, personal and honest relationships with his clients, and provides patient-centred dental treatment. He understands dental appointments are notorious for being unpleasant experiences and aims to change that.
Gordon provides a full scope of dental practice from restorative fillings through to prosthetics.
In his spare time Gordon enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling and savouring the immense beauty of New Zealand.

Hi I’m Lee, I have worked for Team Dental since 2012
I started as a Dental Assistant working in surgery alongside some of our awesome dentists here at 2nd Ave. In 2016 I got the opportunity to also help out our reception team at the front desk. I really enjoy doing my part to assist and care for our patients so that they can have a positive experience when they come and see us. I am very pleased to be taking up the role of Lead Receptionist. When I’m not at work I enjoy swimming, biking, walking and spending time with friends and family.

After growing up in London, I studied my Dentistry degree at the University of Manchester where I graduated with the oral surgery prize.
Following this I have worked in the UK in both general practice and hospital dentistry as a Senior House Officer in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. I also have kept up my dental education by completing a Diploma of Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery. I have now recently moved to New Zealand.
I provide and enjoy all aspects of general dentistry and have a special interest in oral surgery. I pride myself on being caring and considerate, and try my best to put anxious patients at ease.

Long walks on the beach with our dog Bowie, biking and creating cuisine with fresh local fruit and veges are my favourite ways to spend my leisure time.
I am a great believer in preventative healthcare and I am invested in my patients having positive health outcomes.

I’m very excited to be joining the team at Team Dental Pāpāmoa after recently graduating from The University of Otago, where I completed a Bachelor of Dental Surgery with Distinction.
Having trained at both the Dunedin and South Auckland Campuses, I’ve had the privilege to work alongside patients from a variety of backgrounds. I’m really excited to bring this experience here as I get to know the people in this community.
In my spare time I enjoy cooking, going down to the beach and keeping fit at the gym. My goal is to care for the community to ensure everyone has the opportunity to have excellent oral health.
Being an Auckland boy, I now look forward to calling Pāpāmoa my home and exploring the Bay of Plenty Region.

Dr Mike Simon graduated from Otago University in 1981, he spent 15 years running a very busy dental practice in Lower Hutt offering general dental services with a special interest in safe mercury filling removal. In 2007 he joined Lumino, and in 2013 he and his wife Katy relocated to sunny Papamoa. Dr Mike is a keen sailor and skier, he and Katy have 4 adult children and a griffin dog called Enzo. Dr Mike strives to help his patients maintain a healthy, functional and strong mouth to ensure better general health. Dr Mike offers patients who request it a safe amalgam removal programme. I was born in Wales, dentistry is in the family, I have two older brothers who are both Dentists.
I graduated in Wales in 1986 and have been very fortunate to have been able to work in the UK, Australia and New Zealand.
My dental experience has mostly been in general dentistry. I enjoy crown and bridge work and have a special interest in oral surgery. I’m passionate about providing caring down to earth treatments. I understand that having dental treatment can be a challenging experience for many and I like to ensure my patients feel relaxed, informed and cared for.
Brylee Lott

Brylee grew up visiting and exploring the Bay of Plenty, so it has always been a dream for her to call it home. After completing her studies at the University of Otago in 2022, she found herself working in Auckland. She has now decided it is time to take the leap and relocate to Tauranga in 2024.
Brylee loved the idea of living close to the beach, especially with the allure of the iconic Mount Maunganui.
Professionally, Brylee’s aspirations are to deliver top-notch dental care with the goal of making a meaningful impact on the oral health community. She is driven by the desire to provide a positive experience for her patients.

I graduated from University of Otago in 2012 and have been working in private practices in the South and North island ever since.
I also did a short stint as a clinical tutor in University of Otago. In 2016, I decided to do 2 years of full-time study in Diploma of Biblical Studies in Hamilton.
My general interest in dentistry lies in aesthetics dentistry, surgical extraction, crowns & bridge work, and endodontics. I am very pleased to be joining the Team here at Team Dental Riccarton and look forward to seeing new patients as well as existing. Hi. I am Shweta. I graduated as dentist in India in 2009, and after working for a year in India I moved to Australia. I worked as dental assistant (DA) and dental trainer for 5 years in Perth. In 2016 I moved to New Zealand and worked with Team Dental as a Dental Assistant. In 2018 I moved to Dunedin to further my career in dentistry. Meanwhile, I passed my dental licensing exam in Melbourne (2018). I completed a Master’s course, endorsed in Aesthetic dentistry from the University of Otago.
I enjoy practising all aspects of general dentistry, especially the “smile design”.

She has published research in international journals about the oral health of our older people in New Zealand. Graduating and working in South Africa before moving to New Zealand in 1994. I have thoroughly enjoyed delivering general dental care in my Katikati community for the last 14 years. I look forward to maintaining dental wellbeing for my long standing clients as well as meeting the dental needs of the many new Katikati residents. I provide all general dental services, including pain relief by doing root canal treatments or extractions, tooth restorations, to crowns and complicated aesthetic veneer cases, with great results.

I have a passion for making dental visits more pleasant. I have experience in general dentistry, cosmetic, crown/ bridge and implants aswell as clear aligners ( such as Invisalign).
After graduating in 1993 from Otago I also worked in Dunedin hospital and then worked overseas. I returned to own my own practice in Auckland which I sold to the largest chain dental practices and served in their Clinical Advisory Board.
I now enjoy working in beautiful Katikati and enjoy my family life and the outdoors.
