I came to New Zealand in 2014, after living and working in UK for 4 years.
I have completed my MBA from Cardiff Metropolitan University, UK and I am delighted to apply my business knowledge to the current role as a Practice Manager.
I hope to create a positive impact on others’ lives and love meeting and interacting with my team and new patients. I believe in strong work ethics and I am always motivated to stay positive and work hard to achieve the best results.
In my free time I enjoy playing and watching football, listening to music and trying my hand at photography.
KEVIN CHEW
DENTIST
Kevin Chew graduated from the University of Otago in 1999.
He has worked for Team Dental since 2001 where the staff are friendly helpful and efficient he enjoys all aspects of general dentistry.
MAY WONG
DENTIST
I graduated from University of Otago in 2012 and have been working in private practices in the South and North island ever since.
I also did a short stint as a clinical tutor in University of Otago. In 2016, I decided to do 2 years of full-time study in Diploma of Biblical Studies in Hamilton.
My general interest in dentistry lies in aesthetics dentistry, surgical extraction, crowns & bridge work, and endodontics. I am very pleased to be joining the Team here at Team Dental Riccarton and look forward to seeing new patients as well as existing. Outside of dentistry, I enjoy exploring cafes as well as burning the calories off through walking the many breath-taking trails in New Zealand.
Michele Sutin
DENTAL HYGIENIST
Michele Sutin is an American trained hygienist and received her degree in Dental Hygiene from Middlesex College in 2002. During her career she has worked in many different settings including private practice, public health, and hospitals.
Michele enjoys educating patients. Her goal is to provide comprehensive treatment. She finds it rewarding to make a difference in her patients oral health.
Outside of dental hygiene, she is passionate about her family, animals, baking, and human rights. She loves Christchurch and is grateful to be working with such talented and caring colleagues that provide quality care at Team Dental.

Graduated with a Bachelor of Dentistry from Otago University in 2019. Iwas born and raised in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia & came to New Zealand to complete my studies at Dunedin in 2017
I thoroughly appreciates the vibrant atmosphere at Team Dental. The team is a friendly and welcoming bunch who all strive together to provide the highest care to our patients.
Outside of dentistry I enjoys spending time at the gym, tramping and traveling to other countries exploring different cultures.
I enjoy all aspects of dentistry, particularly emergency care, restorative dentistry and oral surgery. Dentistry allows me to connect with people of different backgrounds and help to address their dental needs. It is a privilege to be making positive impacts on Christchurch community’s oral health.
Shweta Gautam
DENTIST
Hi. I am Shweta. I graduated as a dentist in India in 2009, and after working for a year in India I moved to Australia. I worked as a dental assistant (DA) and dental trainer for 5 years in Perth. In 2016 I moved to New Zealand and worked with Team Dental as a Dental Assistant. In 2018 I moved to Dunedin to further my career in dentistry. Meanwhile, I passed my dental licensing exam in Melbourne (2018). I completed a Master’s course, endorsed in Aesthetic dentistry from the University of Otago.
I enjoy practising all aspects of general dentistry, especially the “smile design”.
