EMERGENCY DENTISTRY

Nobody plans on having an emergency or needing emergency dental services, but when you do Team Dental is here to help. Whatever you need, we will try our best to see you on the day of your call and get you out of pain as soon as possible. As we know how urgent dental care can be, our Tauranga and Christchurch practices are open 7 days a week ( 364 days a year).

Emergency dentistry services can range from urgent fillings, to root canals, or even extractions. Urgent dental treatment also includes accidents involving your teeth or jaws.

If you’ve had an accident involving your teeth or jaws, it's important that you seek dental treatment as soon as possible. And luckily for you, in any accidents involving your teeth and jaws, ACC will cover the majority of the costs. This means at Team Dental, it won’t cost the world to save your smile.

How can we help?

You don’t even need to be a regular customer of Team Dental to seek dental treatment with us. If your regular dental care provider is unavailable or will take too long to see you, come see us right away so we can make sure your teeth receive the best care possible, as soon as possible.

If ongoing treatment is required for your dental emergency, we would love to provide the treatment for you here at Team Dental. If you aren’t a regular at Team Dental yet, we can refer you back to your regular dental care provider after the initial treatment with us if you would prefer.

If you have any of the following symptoms we strongly advise you call us now: - Swollen face - Knocked out or broken teeth - Excessive bleeding or pain Quick tip: If your tooth has been knocked out, place it in milk or under your tongue and seek dental treatment immediately.

After hours

Although we make ourselves available on all days of the week, if the accident occurs outside of our practice hours, we recommend you go to your local hospital emergency room to have the injury looked after as soon as possible to ensure your smile stays healthy and bright.
