If you are on a benefit or think you are eligible for a benefit (includes superannuitant) then you may be eligible to apply for cover of your dental costs. Generally beneficiaries are entitled to $300 per year for emergency dental work ,however funding options are available through WINZ for treatment that costs more than this.
